We both took the day and drove down to WDW.  We had lunch on the way and dinner was at the California Grill. The Dreaded Day went until 1740. Dinner was at Citricos in the Grand Floridian Hotel The first day of competition had the first round for each of the three divisions. For dinner we returned to the California Grill. There were two consolation rounds of competition and we finished in the early afternoon.  Dinner was at the Flying Fish in the Boardwalk area. The final three rounds of the competition culminated in the Division 1 Championship in the afternoon. Dinner was at  Jiko. We got up reasonably early and headed for Jacksonville.
The view out of the window of room 4522 (add the 1st two digits to get 9th floor) overlooks Bay Lake, the eastside of the hotel.  The sun in the morning is beautiful over the lake.

Way off to the north there is a maintenance harbor for the fleet, or so we've been told. The North Garden Wing is three stories.  The ground floor opens onto the playground areas. In the center of Bay Lake lies Discovery Island.  Years ago it was a bird sanctuary and attraction. Also available here are a wide variety of boats and activities, including para-sailing and jet-skis. Launches go to the Wilderness Hotel and Ft. Wilderness To the south-east is an adult heated pool and a large family pool, shaped like Mickey Mouse, of course. Over the South Garden Wing, the EPCOT ball is visible in the distance.  At night, Illuminations is visible To the extreme south, the roof of the Wilderness Lodge is visible over the trees.
