We've three birthdays to celebrate: Kate's 34th [on the 16th]; Nico's 4th [on the 14th] and Leo's 1st [on the 10th]!
Friday: We dropped off Buddy at Weeping Willow Kennel and left there at 0910. We did a quick stop at Chick-fil-A and bought breakfast sandwiches. I drove while Lyd ate and then, we switched. Just below DE1, I took the wheel back and we pulled into the kid’s driveway at 1245 to find Nico at Pre-school at a local church. We played with Leo and then Kate, Leo and I picked up Nico. We learned Ray, Sal’s grandfather, had a cardiac incident, but is doing fine. After a dinner of grilled salmon and veggies, we opened Nico’s and Leo’s birthday gifts from us.
Saturday: We enjoyed time with the kids and Kate and Sal made a monster brunch of scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, toast and English Muffins. The family started to arrive at 4 for the joint birthday party. Santo and Ann came, followed shortly thereafter by Mark, who reported Angela had other relatives in town. Neither Ray nor Corvita were able to attend, but we did learn that Ray was home from the hospital. Bob arrived, reporting Mary Beth had a cold and didn’t want to infect anybody. We had pizza and ice cream birthday cake and then played a guitar game, Band Hero, on the Wii.
Sunday: We were on the road by 0715 for an uneventful trip back to Salisbury, picking up Buddy at 1027.
