We returned to the Contemporary Resort Convention Center for the 28th Commissioner's Academic Challenge, Tom's 16th.

Buddy went into the kennel last night before. At 0500, the alarm went off to go see Mickey. We left the house at 0630, as scheduled and went through check in and security without incident. We took off to the southeast on runway 14, at 0746, two minutes late. An uneventful flight ended, on time, on runway 17 in Philadelphia. After a quick bus trip to the A/B terminals, we walked out to B13. The gate attendant fixed our botched seat assignments of 2F & 3F, so we could have 3D & 3F, side-by-side. It was a full flight. I visited briefly with the captain and he confirmed our flight over Salisbury (SBY), Wilmington, NC (ILM), AR-15 and then back ashore near Melbourne. We departed at 1012, after being #6 in line. There is one pre-teen in first class and two toddlers: 3 1/2 & 2. The captain reports our altitude as 34,000 and about 2 hours flight time. Lyd had a club soda and I enjoyed a Jack Daniels and ginger ale. At 1200, the captain interrupted our naps to announce we were 80 miles out and descending into Orlando. Chris Peters from Mears Transportation met us and took us the Bay Lake Tower, where we checked in. Check in at the Contemporary is no longer required. Our room wasn’t ready, so we went to the Contempo Café on the 4th floor and had a Chicken and Spinach Flatbread (9.69) and a soda (2.79). From there we took the monorail over to the Magic Kingdom and turned in our paid vouchers for our Annual Passes. Lyd got Donald Duck and I’ll be Goofy. We headed back for Fantasyland, but as it was hot, approaching parade time and we were still in cold weather clothes, we went back to BLT. Room 8240 was ready and we went up. This is a studio apartment on the 12th floor facing the Contemporary Pool. The scaffolding around the California Grill is big. Dinner was at La Hacienda de San Angel in Mexico at EPCOT.
