Dinner at Citricos

We left the room at 1820 for Citricos which was good, because the monorail crowd was heavy. We arrived at 1855, 20 minutes early. Viviana came out from V&A to chat. We were seated back in the main dining room and Amanda was our server. She was special and is our first nominee on this trip's Pixie Dust List. Lyd had a Tanqueray Martini (9.25) and I had a Maker's Mark Manhattan (10). We also split a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon, Rust en Vrede, Stellenbosch '13 (49). We both had the Butternut Squash Bisque (14 on the menu, 13 on the bill), with Hudson Valley Duck Confit, Brown Butter Croutons and Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup. Lyd had the Crispy Veal Cutlet (44) with Lemon Herb Butter, Cipollini onions, chef's garden petite squash, Boniato Mash and Madeira Sauce. I had the Short Ribs (46) with melted leek and parsnip puree, spinach and hand-harvested mushrooms with natural Jus.
