| We left the house at 1100 headed for Taj Mahal for lunch. They weren't open. We diverted to Sakura, but they don't open until 1130. Likewise for EVO. We ended up at Olde Towne Deli, recently opened. Lyd had an Apple Cranberry Chicken Salad Sandwich (6.95) which was pretty dry. There was no mayo and the lady taking orders didn't offer it as a selection. She did offer it to me when I ordered a Cheese Steak (6.95), which was pretty good, but came as a small wrap. The small potato salad side was good. The small dining room was fairly full, and the service quick. They do seem to be encouraging takeout. With City Hall and the Courthouse across the street, they should do a good business lunch and breakfast. I don't see it as a lunch destination, but if one is already downtown, it's a good choice. |
