Fried Apples
Ingredients:
2 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. kosher salt
Procedures:
In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt, and stir to combine.
Add apples and cook, stirring often, until apples are tender and sugar is dissolved and syrupy, 8 to 10 minutes.
Notes:
2021-10-17: With 3 Grannie Smith apples, this was not as good as scalloped apples and will not enter the rotation.
