Oreo Tiramisu
Prenotes
Ingredients:
24 Oreo cookies, crushed (with chunks for texture)
1/4 cup Coffee
8 oz Mascarpone Cheese
1 cup Heavy Cream or whipped cream
1/3 cup Powdered Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
dust of Cocoa Powder
Procedures:
Prepare the Coffee, and cool. Crush the Oreos zip-top bag or in a food processor. Leave some chunks for texture, but mostly fine crumbs work best. Soak the Oreos: Quickly dip cookie crumbs into the cooled coffee, about 1-2 seconds—don’t let them get soggy, just moist enough to soak flavor. Layer half of these coffee-soaked Oreos into the bottom of your serving cups. In a large bowl, combine softened mascarpone cheese, 1/3 cup powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Use a hand mixer to blend until smooth and creamy, about 2 minutes. Whip the Cream: In a separate chilled bowl, whip 1 cup (240 ml) of heavy cream until soft peaks form. Be careful not to overwhip, or it will get grainy. Combine Filling and Cream: Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture, using a spatula in a folding motion to keep it light and airy. Layer the Cups: Spoon half of the mascarpone cream over the cookie base in each cup. Add another layer of coffee-soaked Oreos. Top with the remaining mascarpone cream. Chill: Refrigerate the cups for at least 1 hour to let flavors meld and the dessert set properly. Finish and Serve: Just before serving, dust the tops with unsweetened cocoa powder for that classic tiramisu look. Enjoy chilled.
