Beef Tri-Tip Roast
The local meat market offered a sale on tri-tip and we modified a found recipe.
Ingredients:
1 tri-tip roast ~3 pounds
EVOO
1 pack Lipton Onion Soup Mix
2 yellow onions, sliced
8 oz mushrooms
Procedures:
Pre-heat the oven to 350o
In EVOO, brown the roast on all sides.
Salt and Pepper the roast and wrap tightly in foil. Roast for 2.5.
Meanwhile. saute the onions and mushrooms in butter. Chunk/slice to serve.
Notes:
2023-08-25: This was a bit dry. Next time we’re going to rub the roast with EVOO, and a packet of Lipton Onion Soup Mix.
2023-04-07: Served with German Potato salad and leftover beet salad.
2022-11-19: Served with mashed potatoes and Liberty Tree pot roast gravy and asparagus tempera
2022-07-18: Served with baked potato and Bavarian Beans. I neglected to preheat the oven and the meat was dry and tough.
2019-07-06: This had its first try with baked potatoes and limas and was excellent.
