Chicken Paprika
Lew and her brother, Bill, grew up with this recipe from their mom's kitchen.
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
1/4 cup fat or oil
1/4 cup minced onion
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1 can condensed tomato soup
1 cup sour cream
1 bay leaf
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons paprika
Procedures:
Lightly dust chicken with flour.
Brown chicken in hot fat.
Add onions, mushrooms
Cook until tender; slightly browned
Blend in other ingredients
Simmer, covered, 45 minutes or until tender
Notes:
2023-10-05: Served to Bill with corn-on-the-cob, green bean casserole and lemon chiffon pie.
2023-05-31: Served with Broccoli Salad and a bottle of Relax Riesling.
2022-08-24: We used only 2 thighs for the 2 of us, and served with yellow rice with sweet peas added, and a Barefoot Riesling.
