CREAMY HAM AND CHICKEN MEDLEY
Ingredients:
1 Tablespoon Butter
1/2 cup Mushrooms, sliced
1/3 cup butter
1/3 cup flour
3 cups milk, divided
1 cup whipping cream
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup chopped onion
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 Tablespoon Marsala
dash ground red pepper
1/2 lb. deli chicken, chopped
1/2 lb. deli ham, chopped
1 10oz packages, frozen puff pastry shells
paprika
Procedures:
Prepare puff pastry shells by package directions.
Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large saucepan over medium heat; add mushrooms and cook until tender. Remove and set aside.
Melt 1/3 cup butter in saucepan over low heat; add flour, stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute stirring constantly.
Gradually add 2.5 cups milk, cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly.
Stir in whipping cream and next 6 ingredients. Cook, stirring constantly, until cheese melts and mixture is smooth.
Stir in chicken and ham. Add enough of remaining 1/2 cup milk for a thinner consistency, if desired.
Spoon into shells and sprinkle with paprika.
Sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
