We're spending the week of Lyd's 62nd birthday at Bay Lake Tower at Walt Disney World.

Dinner at the California Grill
Just before 6, we went to the 2nd floor to check in at the podium for the California Grill. We were told that Yoshie’s sushi counter was booked for a party of four, but they never showed up during the length of our dinner. We were seated, instead, at the two-seat Chef Counter. We started with cocktails: a pair of Maker’s Mark Manhattans ($9.25@) for me and a Dewar’s and Soda (7.25) for Lyd. Yoshie felt she had enough time, so she made a “Maku-No-Uchi” platter for me. Lyd started with the Maine Lobster Salad and then followed it with the mussels. Though we discussed dessert with Charmaine, our server from Clayton, NY, we didn’t order any, so we were mystified when it appeared. We exchanged hugs with Yoshie, and with "Honolulu" Gary, who stopped by for a brief visit, and then went back to the room.
